About The Restaurant
Bombay Grill is located on Roosevelt in the
University District in a building that was once home to Seattle's first Indian
restaurant. After extensive redecorating and refurbishing, the new owner has
brought the old restaurant back to life and into the world of fine
dining.
Bombay Grill's ambiance is warm and inviting with
knowledgeable service. Its menu includes visually appealing dishes from all
regions of the Indian subcontinent with emphasis on seafood. Bombay Grill proves
that Indian cooking techniques and spicy flavors work deliciously with fresh
seafood. The "Seafood Specialties" section of the menu includes a fresh salmon
filet rubbed with kashmiri paste and served in a mango curry sauce, mahi mahi
with mustard seeds and tamarind, lobster tail in a creamy wine curry sauce, and a
Sri Lankan Seafood Curry. Listed under "Tandoori Specials" are prawns in a
peppery yogurt masala, grilled marinated trout, and a wondrous Fish Tikka using
seasonal fish marinated in pickle sauce then tandoor grilled as the menu says-
to perfection!!
Traditional Indian soups, curries, vegetarian
dishes, appetizers and meats from the tandoor oven round out the menu. Tandoori
cooked meats include baby back ribs, rack of lamb, beef shish kebab, lamb and
several styles of chicken. One of the latter, the wildly aromatic and tangy
Bazari Chicken is known to make patrons stand up and shout Bazari instead of
Eureka when tasting the dish for the first time.
